About this Talk

Take a second to think about every single one of your preferences for physical inclusion, from food to location to type of venue...

Now think about digital inclusion, from the platform used, to the format of the event to the type of interaction required...

Now go to every person in the world and gather all of their preferences - and make an event that meets ALL of those requirements.

That is not only impossible, it's completely ridiculous. Yet this is what we all think inclusive spaces is about; trying to cram a laundry list of preferences into everything we ever do.

Now breathe, and take a second to think about the last time you entered a space (physically or virtually) that *didn't* feel inclusive. What was that about for you?

I bet for most of you, it wasn't about the venue choice or the platform at all, I'm willing to bet it was one thing and one thing only.

Join me to find out what *actually* makes spaces feel inclusive and one simple, free thing we can all do to make every space feel like coming home.
